Baccarat refers to the game played with two players seated opposite each other at a table. The goal of the banker is to make the maximum amount of bets, while keeping those his opponents lose. Baccarat is an extremely fun game to play and can be explained simply by the terms, ‘cover’, ‘bet’ and ‘call’. A player that has cover will have one red card in his hand. The banker does not reveal his cards until both players have had their bets made.

When baccarat is played with two players, both players will be dealt a hand, and the player nearest the dealer will get to call first. The first player will usually face the dealer who will place the cards next to him on the baccarat table. This player is called the dealer’s ‘face’. After the first player calls, the dealer will remove one card from the top of the deck (called the ‘underlay’), call the dealer, and deal another card to the other ‘players’.

Baccarat is played in four rounds, with each round lasting for ten minutes. Each round will have two betting periods. During each period, the banker will always have at least one card to bet. If either player ends up having a better hand than the dealer, then the player with the better hand wins first, followed by the second player. If neither player has a better hand than the dealer, then the last player in line will win.

The second highest total that can be reached by any two players is the winning hand. This winning hand may come after the first winning hand or before the second player has folded. The player with the highest total is declared the winner. In cases where multiple players have the same winning hand, the player with the highest total wins.

Players are allowed to use two cards face down to re-buy and re-arrange their bets. However, if a player already has a winning hand, it is considered un-foldable. In multi-table, where a player can have a maximum of two cards dealt per table, the second player on each table takes turns dealing single cards. Baccarat is played with ten, two, and one card dealt per table, the second player receiving one card from each table after the first player has been dealt their two cards.
